Waiting on the Edge of Darkness

EBOOK-WOTEOD WIX COVER (3).jpg

The 1970s. A small Texas town. A chance for a new beginning.

Imagine that you could go back eight minutes. Would you change anything? Waiting on the Edge of Darkness is a story about second chances. It begins with an unlikely bond between a small-town girl and a Marine during the Vietnam War. Analisa Álvaron and John Robertson exchange several letters before communication stops.

Years after the war, Analisa carries on in a sheltered existence, conflicted between her father's cultural expectations and her dreams. She lives in a sleepy farming community where everyone knows all and nothing much happens. One night, everything she's ever known changes.

John returns from Vietnam a broken man and yearns for a place to call home. His youngest brother's death leaves him grief-stricken and drives him to the edge of darkness. Bound by promises made, he travels to a quirky Texas town.

Under a cloud-covered moon, Analisa and John encounter their first challenge. In the months that follow, they share a journey of loss, love, and forgiveness. It is said that sometimes one needs to step back to move forward. Would they change anything if given a chance?

Inclusion and 'being me' are topics that will resonate with all readers. Can you imagine all of the fantastic things you can be and do if you are yourself?
